This document evaluates the efficiency of Swiss Vault’s Edge-Computing hardware solution, leveraging task-oriented chips like RK3588 and CM3588 with ARM-based NPUs for ML-AI model inference tasks confi gured to run on VaultFS. Swiss Vault’s solution provides energy-efficient compute support for inferencing pre-trained ML models, achieving performance levels competitive with Nvidia’s RTX 2060 and RTX 3050 GPUs.
These outcomes collectively underscore VaultFS’ adaptability and strength in diverse operational scenarios. Whether it’s a single disk or a more complex multi-disk arrangement, VaultFS demonstrates a consistent ability to handle high-performance tasks effectively, making it a reliable and efficient file system choice for demanding HPC workflows.
VaultFS surpasses ZFS in high-demand HPC environments with its scalable, resilient architecture and erasure coding, enhancing data integrity. Its performance superiority is evidenced by rigorous benchmark
tests (StorageBench, IOR, FIO, iperf3, ib_write_bw), demonstrating higher throughput and efficiency across both multi-node and single-node configurations. Moreover, VaultFS innovates in data protection
with features like WORM, Dynamically prioritized data regeneration, and real-time disk failure safeguards, establishing new standards for HPC system security and data integrity.
